Laura, has written such a sweet memoir of a home she has had in her family for many decades. The details of how and why she bought this home and how it was restored and the beauty of living in this home are so sweet. I felt every moment and lived it with her. It made me feel there is hope for small towns and neighbors helping neighbors. No matter the size of the town we live in it is just important to connect to the people around us and appreciate all the people who came before us and the history that made us.

What a wonderful book! It takes you along with the author as she can purchase a family home she has loved since she was a little girl! The restoration of this home is covered in detail with lots of beautiful color pictures !! The author’s cherished memories and feelings are included as the house is brought back to life. Her love for this home is evident in all the details that are attended to. I enjoyed this book as it also focuses on living in a small town. It gives you a warm feeling of comfort that you don’t find living in bigger cities. The author was able to recapture the feeling of love she always felt in this home. Who doesn’t want to go home again?

Here's to New Beginnings

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go home again or to renovate and restore an old house? Are you longing for the connections you had when you were younger, when there was time to sit on the front porch, visit with family and friends, and enjoy homemade meals? If so, this book is for you.

You’ll be able to see firsthand how she took on the project and how you can, too. It’s about so much more than renovating an old house, though. It’s also about the simple pleasures of having extended time with family and friends and creating new memories. It’s about apple pie, berry picking, family reunions where you all grew up, and reconnecting with your roots.
